Retirees

Retirees (and their qualifying spouses and dependents) of the Town of South Hadley, South Hadley Public Schools, and South Hadley Electric Light Department (SHELD) are eligible for Town-sponsored health insurance if they, 1) were enrolled in insurance at the time of retirement and 2) are currently retired and receiving a monthly retirement allowance from either the Hampshire County Retirement System or the Massachusetts Teachers Retirement System, as a Town of South Hadley Retiree. Eligible retirees and their spouses will have Non-Medicare and Medicare Supplement plans available to them, based on age and Medicare eligibility.
