Program Description
The South Hadley Redevelopment Authority is pleased to offer the first round of Business Improvement Grants made possible through donations to the Frank DeToma South Hadley Falls Redevelopment Fund. This grant round will provide commercial businesses, nonprofits, and commercial property owners in South Hadley Falls with financial support for the enhancement of small businesses through reimbursable grants up to $1,500.
Funding Availability & Eligible Activities
Applicants to the program may apply for a reimbursement for eligible project costs of up to $1,500. Eligible activities and costs include:
- Building façade improvements including:
- Window replacements
- Exterior painting, including murals on the street facing side of the building
- Signage
- Exterior lighting
- Streetscaping i.e. window boxes/planters, outdoor furniture, etc.
- Repairs of the exterior façade of the building
- Improvements that support business entrepreneurship, sustainability and growth
Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis, and funding awarded to eligible projects on a first come, first served basis. All work must be completed within 60 days of grant award.
Eligible Applicants
Property owners of commercial buildings and nonprofit and commercial business owners located in South Hadley Falls.
