Meet our P.A.C.E Team

Sergeant Mark Baran has been a member of the South Hadley Police Department since February of 1995 as a Reserve, and promoted to a Fulltime Officer in February of 2001 and was promoted to Sergeant in July of 2005. In addition to being a Patrol Supervisor, Sgt. Baran oversees Accreditation, Policy Development, Training and Facility. He is also member of the Peer Support Team.  Sgt. Sergeant Jeffrey Goulet has been a member of the South Hadley Police Department since 2010 and was promoted to Sergeant in 2018. In addition to being a Patrol Supervisor, Sgt Goulet oversees the (DART) Drug Addiction and Recovery Team, and the Connecticut River Task Force. Sgt Goulet is the MassCop Union Vice President and Vice President of the South Hadley Police Association. He is also a member of the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). Detective Perez has been a member of the South Hadley Police Department since June 20, 1996 and is currently working the 3pm-11pm shift.  In addition to being a member of the Police Access and Community Engagement Team (PACE), Det. Perez is currently a member of the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), Drug Addiction and Recovery Team (DART), Field Training Officer (FTO), Criminal Justice Information Services Team (CJIS) and Facility Team.   Det. Officer Cynthia Boyle has been a member of the South Hadley Police Department since February of 2011. Prior to joining the South Hadley Police Department Ofc. Boyle was a member of the Pittsfield Police Department. Ofc. Boyle is the team leader for the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), a member of the Drug Addiction and Recovery Team (DART) and Peer Support teams and is a Field Training Officer (FTO) for the newly hired officers.  Ofc. Officer Junior Swaby has been a member of the South Hadley Police Department since October of 2018. In addition to being a member of the Police Access and Community Engagement Team (PACE), Ofc.
