[ARCHIVED] Rescheduled Guided Trek to Bagg-Pierce Wildlife Sanctuary - Bike/Walk Committee

Rescheduled Guided Trek to Bagg-Pierce Wildlife Sanctuary on January 17th

Due to inclement weather on January 10th, the South Hadley Bike/Walk Committee invites the public on a rescheduled guided trek on Sunday, January 17th to explore the Bagg-Pierce Wildlife Sanctuary—a little-known gem that borders the Connecticut River.

The current four-trail system includes a trail to the river; all are relatively flat mostly over leaf-lined and dirt paths with only a few minor ascents and descents.

Meet at 1 pm at the McCray’s Farm parking lot on Alvord Street. The approximately 1.5 hour trek includes walking to/from the Wildlife Sanctuary and McCray’s dirt field road. Wear weather-appropriate clothing, safe footwear and bring water and optional snacks. Non-enjoyable or hazardous inclement weather/conditions will force a cancellation.
