As communities are forced to address tightening trash and recycling regulations, the DPW is asking for residents’ continued cooperation in helping the town meeting those standards.
Lately it has been noted there is an uptick of households disposing of trash in bags other than the green-colored South Hadley trash bags, recycling mixed together instead of separated into paper and cans/plastic, and oversized pieces of cardboard. Trash collectors have also noticed trash and recycling being brought to the curb later than requested.
