Hunting season Is opening in Massachusetts - Be Safe, Be Seen, Get Your Orange On!

Many outdoor areas we enjoy for hiking and biking are also available for hunting. All outdoor users who are on trails during hunting seasosn are encouraged to wear blaze orange to increase their visibility.

Hunting is allowed at the Town of South Hadley’s Bachelor-Stony Brook Conservation Area, and the fields behind the Town Farm, located between Hadley Street/Route 47 and Ferry Street. Hunting licenses are required for anyone hunting any game bird or mammal. All hunters must have their license in possession while engaging in these activities. Hunters must comply with all Massachusetts laws and regulations for this activity. 

NO HUNTING ON SUNDAYS.

No other lands owned by the Town of South Hadley are open for hunting.
