Please meet at 12:45 PM on Sunday, Nov. 17th at the trail entrance to the woods just beyond the trailhead kiosk.
Please park in the large Mosier School parking lot at 101 Mosier Street as the small lot adjacent to the trailhead has limited parking.
The event kicks off promptly at 1 PM. Several members of the Toth family plan to join BWC members to acknowledge and thank the many town officials, employees, residents and volunteers who made the Leaping Well Nature Trail possible. Following the short, opening ceremony, BWC members will lead interested participants on a guided trek on the trail system loop.
Post-trek, please join BWC members and the Toth family for light refreshments and socializing.
The trail consists of natural surfaces, e.g. grass, dirt, wood chips, contains a few minor ascents and descents, and winds through a young forest, an old farm field, a forest of ornamental pear trees and across several wetlands along wooden boardwalks.
Wear weather-appropriate clothing and safe footwear (be prepared for some possible wet conditions), and bring water.
Non-enjoyable or hazardous inclement weather/conditions will force a cancellation. If cancelled, a Community News Alert will be posted on the town's website at southhadleyma.gov and the event will be rescheduled for a future date.
