Please consider helping out for a couple of hours at this amazing, first-time-ever event—the River Roll & Stroll, a vehicle-free, “Open Streets” Festival, which will be held on the Rt. 116 Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge, a bridge that spans the CT River between South Hadley and Holyoke.
A range of volunteer positions is available—like helping to “set-up/take down”, welcoming the public and answering questions, leading activities such as drawing pictures with chalk on the road, showing how to play hopscotch, holding a jump rope, and keeping an eye on things to ensure everyone has a great time. You’ll have lots of information, support and guidance from Event Management Staff, which includes members of the Bike-Walk Committee. The Holyoke and South Hadley Police Departments will be responsible overall for ensuring safety on the bridge.
If you’re interested in volunteering for at least 2 hours that day or have any other questions about the festival, please email: riverrollandstroll@gmail.com
In the meantime, please spread the word about this event and bring your friends, families, kids and grandkids.
Come have a blast with us at the Holyoke-South Hadley River Roll and Stroll Street Festival!
