Come venture outdoors to discover some hopeful signs of spring in the never-dull-and-always-interesting Bynan Conservation Area that needs the support of more walking residents to visit and enjoy it! The South Hadley Bike-Walk Committee (BWC) invites the public on a guided trek to explore the different trails, ponds and vistas on Sunday, March 19th at 1 pm.
The approximately 90-minute trek is approximately 2 miles in length. The marked dirt and leaf-lined trails are rutted in places from vehicular use, may be muddy or wet, and are relatively flat with several mild-moderate ascents and descents.
Meet at 12:45 pm at the dirt parking lot at the end of Bartlett Street. To reach, take Rt. 202/Granby Rd. NORTH, turn right on to East Street (Easthampton Savings Bank is across the street on the left), drive to the end of East Street and then take a left on Bartlett to the parking lot). Wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear, and bring water and optional snacks. Non-enjoyable or hazardous inclement weather/conditions will force a cancellation. Post-trek, please join BWC members in the parking lot for light refreshments and socializing!
