[ARCHIVED] Community forum on sustainability and resiliency set for May 29

A white and green flyer for the community forum

Please join us for a community forum on Wednesday, May 29 at 6 p.m. in the South Hadley Town Hall auditorium to explore ideas for sustainability and resiliency. What  do those terms mean to you? How can this community address these concepts in terms of social, environmental, economic and fiscal impacts?

This will be the last of four public forums to help shape the update of South Hadley's Master Plan and Open Space and Recreation Plan. This process builds upon extensive previous planning efforts and includes a broad public outreach and engagement process with four thematic forums to identify a vision for the future of South Hadley, and strategies for achieving it.

Learn more about the planning process on the project website at www.southhadleyplans.com.

In addition to attending this forum, please take the Livable Communities Survey. South Hadley is partnering with the cities of Chicopee and Holyoke to better understand how to become a more age-friendly and dementia-friendly community. This is a separate regional project that is underway in tandem with the update to these other plans however, by completing this survey, your input will inform the development of multiple plans and programs. The goal of Livable Communities is to improve the lives of all residents ages 8 to 80.

The survey is estimated to take 15-20 minutes. English and Spanish versions are available online here. https://southhadleyplans.com/surveys/
