Why do I have to pay for trash pickup when I pay taxes?
None of the solid waste costs are included in the real estate taxes. All costs are paid from the Landfill Enterprise Fund which is a separate fund financed by the rubbish and recycling pickup fees charged to property owners.
How does the town charge for trash pickup?

Residential property owners are billed at the rate of $28 per person per year.

How can I check the status of my trash bill?
Inquiries regarding payment(s) should be directed to the Collector’s Office at 538-5020. All other inquiries should be directed to the DPW at 538-5033.
