How do I join the Senior Center?
Call the Center at (413) 538-5042 and make an appointment for a tour of the facility.

Does one have to live in South Hadley to attend the congregate lunch program?
No, but one must be 60 or over and for special lunches preference is given to South Hadley seniors.
 
What is Outreach?
The Social Service Coordinator is available to make office appointments, home appointments and provide information to assist seniors in remaining at home, while remaining independent and safe.  She will also make referrals when necessary. 
 
How do I make a lunch reservation?
Call 538-5042, preferably one day ahead, and give your name.  One must be 60 or over and the only exceptions to the age requirements are if one is a volunteer or a guest of a senior. 
 
How do I make a transportation request?
Call 538-5042 and state your destination.  If the ride is available through the South Hadley COA, your name, address and phone number will be requested.  However, if you are requesting a service not provided by the South Hadley COA, a referral will be made.
 
How do I receive the newsletter?
If you are 60 or over and a resident of South Hadley, you should be receiving “The Golden Chronicle” monthly.  The only exception is the July/August issue.  There is no charge for this publication and mailing is covered through funding from grants, the town and generous donations.  One is encouraged to make a donation of $5.00 per year.  Out of town residents may receive the publication for a fee of $6 per year.
